Last month we ran an online and in-store Christmas giveaway competition giving one lucky person the chance to win a whole TROLLEY FULL of Hall’s Retail home care products to the value of R1000. Over 300 people entered the competition via social media and at the store and we would like to thank you all for participating.
On 6 January, we picked a winner by random number generator and the winner was Deirdre van Rooyen! In an act of selflessness, Deirdre graciously donated her prize to PMB Kitten Fostering & Rescue, a local NPO that cares for and rehomes abandoned kittens.
A former resident of KZN and a staunch supporter of PMB Kitten Fostering and Rescue, Deirdre said, “PMB Kitten Fostering and Rescue is an awesome organisation who provide love and care to cats and kittens. It is run on donations and the selfless love and devotion of a small group of people. A trolley of cleaning products would go a long way to assisting this wonderful group of people to keep their facility clean and hygienic for the cats as well as enable them to spend the money saved on essential food and veterinary care. I am just so happy that I was able to do something for them.”
We salute Deirdre for her selfless gesture and since one good deed deserves another, Hall’s Retail has doubled up the prize, supplying PMB Kitten Fostering & Rescue cleaning products worth R2000!
Says Suzanne Kunz, founder of PMB Kitten Fostering & Rescue “I would like to thank Deirdre van Rooyen for donating this amazing prize to us and we sincerely thank the Hall’s Retail Team for going above and beyond by donating a further R1000 worth of products.
“I run PMB Kitten Fostering & Rescue from my home and rely solely on donations to fund the rescue. Things such as cleaning products are mostly overlooked as donated items and are purchased from personal funds. With many furry felines about (from newborn to adult), cleanliness is of critical importance for infection control and hygiene. It’s truly wonderful to win this prize which will assist us in helping those kitties who can’t help themselves,” says Suzanne.
